For this increment we will be looking at the inclusion of a 3D viewer component to display the protein in the current work unit; it will enable users to view a real-time 3D representation of the protein that the client is currently working on, it will be added. Rather than re-inventing the wheel, the open-source Java viewer for chemical structures in 3D, "Jmol" (Gezelter, 2000) will be embedded into the project. Jmol has a sub-project called "Jmol Viewer" which should be able to render the protein for me, as it is a java API designed to be embedded within other applications.
